Fergus and Elora

On Monday, August 6th – the Civic Holiday – we drove to Fergus and Elora, Ontario, for the afternoon.  It is only about an hour away, so it is a fairly short drive.  The last time we were there was about 2 years ago.

We were a bit surprised to see that the Elora Inn was closed and fenced off for renovations slated to begin in 2013.  They had a great look-out point to view the river, but it was no longer accessible.

On our way home we planned to stop in Orangeville for sushi.  Unfortunately when we arrive at 20 minutes to 8 we were told that they were closed!  Off to Kelsey’s then. They are at least open later.  All in all, a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, especially since the weather was so nice.
