Hollywood North took over Main Street, Schomberg, for a couple of days. The production was for a mini-series called 11/22/63, based on a Stephen King novel about a teacher who travels back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination.
Josh Duhamel made an appearance to thank the fans who came to see the action. There was plenty of action to see, with the film crew. Main Street was made to look like it might have in the fall of 1963. Storefronts were decorated with Halloween decorations, leaves were scattered around the street, and classic cars parked along the street.
Many storefronts were made up with different signs. Extras, dressed in period clothing, walked along Main Street. A vacant store was even built up into a soda counter, fully stocked with period correct products. Overall, it was a fun time to see the action in our small town.
